Chapter History

The Gamma Psi chapter of Sigma Kappa was founded at Tennessee Wesleyan University in 1961. Since that time, the Gamma Psi Chapter has proven to be an exemplary group of women who strive for success in service, leadership, education, and campus involvement.

Currently, we are a chapter of only 20 young women, hoping to grow this small chapter at this private university. We take pride in all that we do. Each year we strive to carry on our many traditions and remarkable reputation that has been in place since the installation of Gamma Psi. The Gamma Psi chapter is a prominent chapter in the Panhellenic community and has been consistently recognized as a top recruiting chapter on campus.  In 2015 the Gamma Psi chapter received the Alice Hersey Wick award and 3 Stars of Excellence! What amazing accomplishment for a small chapter!!

First founded, this is a picture signifying the foundation of Sigma Kappa at Tennessee Wesleyan University. We take great pride in what we have been able to accomplish at this private university, ranging from smaller numbers to finally growing above 20 members, earning prestigious awards, and above all, still remaining high-achievers in the classroom. Sigma Kappa Gamma Psi is proud of the accomplishes of all women that have been in the shoes of the collegiates today; a thank you is extended to those that have helped build this lovely foundation of Greek Life at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

Without you, we would not be here. Thank you.
